Hal is gone this week to New Jersey. We were both in foul moods yesterday as we headed to the airport. I know he didn't like leaving me behind before, but it is much harder on both of us now that we have little man. He will be back Friday morning and has the day off, so we are looking forward to a long weekend.
While he is gone I am catching up on some reading thanks to my friend Rachel! She loaned me 4 books by Deanne Gist. I have finished two in two days which means I have got absolutely nothing done during Drew's naps or after he goes to bed. :) I also need to finish up Quiet Times for HAFBC youth camp this week. Those two things should make the week go by fast.
Saturday we met our friends David and Marcie and their daughter Evie who is 5 months old for brunch. It is fun to watch the kids start interacting with each other.
Drew finally has a tooth breaking through! The poor guy has been working on it for over a month. He loves to have ice or frozen fruit put in a mesh feeder bag. I picked these up at Target and they are a big help for his sore gums.

Tons of Fayetteville Pics...
I wanted to share a few pictures from our trip. We were able to spend a lot of time with family and squeeze in some friend time as well. Of course we never get to see everyone that we would llike, but we will catch them the next trip. It always a little hard to leave. Hal not being with us made it easier this time....we were ready to get home to see him.
Aunt K and the boys came over from Kansas to see Drew.
Lovin on Landry...
Watching his video w/ Kennedy and Landry
Uncle Lance and Landry
This picture cracks me up! If you have every been to my parents then you know my dad is ALWAYS watching sports. Only Drew can take the TV away from Grandpa!
Drew loves being outside and there is always a breeze blowing at my parents. We spent a lot of time in the front yard.
Playing airplane with mom.
This may be my favorite picture from the week. My dad is crazy about his yard. He spends a lot of time working on it and it always looks beautiful. I love this picture of Drew's feet in dad's grass.
We had a playdate with my friends Elizabeth and Kristy and their kids. I hope this doesn't mean Drew will be a biter! He kept wanting to like Byron's leg!!

I tried to get a good picture of Drew and I for Father's Day. Here a couple of our attempts.

7 Months Old
For some reason I couldn't wait to tell people that Drew was 6 months old. Now that 7 months has come, I think I am going to keep saying 6 months! It really is going by so fast. He is changing so quickly. Even in the week we were gone, Hal noticed how he had changed.
At 7 months Drew is....
At 7 months Drew is....
- Drooling like crazy (notice his shirt), but still no teeth yet.
- Very active. Always reaching and grabbing.
- Can sit on his own, but would rather be on his belly with his legs kicking!
- Has pushed up on his hands and knees several times and has pulled to standing.
- Loves to eat!
- Smiles and smiles and smiles.
- Giggles at his mom and dad.

Home...
Drew and I are back after a great week in Fayetteville. I love this picture. Hal surprised us and met us at the gate. The look on Drew's face was priceless! After a very long day of travel we were both happy to see Hal. Lots of pics to come....as soon as laundry and grocery shopping are done!
Have a great weekend!

Happy Friday!
1) So...what happened to trying to post every few days? Seems like I am in a once a week posting routine. I need to get better. The natives (aka Grandma and Aunt K) are going to get restless!
2) As you can see from the picture, we are sitting up well on our own! I think I am a little scared of the next milestone. I better starting moving things to higher ground now!
3) I had a great bday yesterday. Christi and the girls took me to a bday breakfast. They had a cake with candles and Mary Allison had painted me a picture. Hal and I picked up dinner last night. He is taking me to a tapas restaurant tomorrow night. Yum!
4) Hal and I would really appreciate you all praying for some dear friends of ours from Texas, The Konz family. Their son, Connor, was in Hal's small group and we worked with Chuck and Debbie in the student ministry. Connor has been in ICU at Texas Children's for over a week. They first thought he had pneumonia, but now aren't sure what is going on. Thankfully, he seemed to turn a corner last night and is doing better. Please pray that they will know what is wrong and be able to treat him!
5) Drew and I are Fayetteville bound next Wednesday. We hate to leave Hal behind, but are looking forward to being in NWA.
6) My mom and maw maw both said I started talking early and was never quiet again! Drew has been quite the talker lately. Enjoy the video at the bottom.
