Random Friday

***Update: Can you say prego brain?? I wrote this yesterday and thought I will just go ahead and schedule it for Friday which in my mind was apparently today. Ha! Thanks for noticing Rachel! :)

1) I will be 25 Weeks on Sunday. Wow...this pregnancy is going by super fast! Brooks is defintely making his presence known. I think my stomach grows daily and I feel him more and more each day. I feel like I am carrying Brooks lower than I carried Drew which seems impossible.

2) What am I craving? Chocolate and more chocolate! I am also not sure that I could go through a day with out Chedar Jack Cheez-it's and plain elbow macaroni with butter. I also need decaf coffee daily which is crazy since it made me sick early in the pregnancy.

3) It seems like so many of my friends and family are covered in snow and ice. I know they are tired of it and I am so glad Spring is just around the corner. Even though we haven't had that much snow and ice, the temps have been cold and I am ready to get little man out of the house! I am also a little sad that I missed the NWA Blizzard of 2011. :)

4) My parents are coming down next week. I can't wait for them to see little man, he has changed SO much since they saw him at Christmas.

5) I can't tell you how much I LOVE this blog. It encourages me every time I read it. Lately, I have been bogged down in the same routines I do every day like cleaning the high chair 3 times or changing a diaper a bizzillion times. A recent post reminded me that this is the task God has given me for this time in my life and there is much reward in doing it with excellence and the He will give me much grace to get it done. Check it out....Girl Talk. I hope you like it as much as I do!

Happy Friday and I hope you have a great weekend!

Around the House

So, we have attempted to work on potty training the last few weeks. (Yes, I do realize that he is wearing his pants in this picture) I am not sure he is completely ready, but I thought I would give it a try this month and if he doesn't pick it up, we will just wait until after Brooks arrives.

You would not believe how much these stickers have kept this boy entertained lately! Granted, I have stickers ALL over my house, but he is doing better about keeping them on this paper I put up for him.
Here is the next Bobby Flay! Hal's parents had these chef hats and aprons for the girls and we ended up with one. I wish you could see the red oven mit that is on his left hand. We must keep it on at all times if we are wearing the hat and the apron.

Here is a pic for my momma. This was taken on January 30th, so I would have been 23 weeks. I am 24 weeks and a few days today and I KNOW I am bigger than I was in this picture.

We did have to see a Maternal Medicine Specialist for Brooks last week to do a Level II Ultrasound. At our January appointment, they detected an arrithyma in Brooks' heart. We saw the specialist last Thursday and he gave us the encouraging news, that it isn't something we should be worried about at this point. We will continue to make sure that his heart rate stays in the normal range. If it gets out of that range, then they would be concerned. He also told us that Brooks was measuring large. He measured almost 2 weeks larger than my due date. I will be interested to see what my regular doctor says about that next week when I go in for my normal appointment. We will see if Little Mister might be arriving before May 29th.
